
The gap between facilitation and analysis
You just ran a design thinking workshop with twelve stakeholders. For three hours you captured every comment, every sticky note idea, every breakout group summary. Your notes file is a wall of text. Timestamps, half-sentences, contradictions, gold nuggets buried between tangents about lunch preferences.
The workshop itself went well. The problem is what happens next. You need to turn this raw stream of consciousness into a findings document that tells a clear story. Most consultants do this by reading through everything twice, highlighting themes by hand, grouping sticky notes into clusters, and then writing up each cluster. It works, but it takes almost as long as the workshop itself.

Capturing notes during the session

The agent reads all 15 pages. It comes back with a proposed clustering. Maybe it finds six themes where you expected four. One of them connects a comment from the opening icebreaker to a concern raised during the priority voting exercise. You would not have caught that connection on your own.
You review the clusters, merge two that overlap, split one that is too broad, and rename them to match the language the participants actually used. Then you ask the agent to draft a findings section for each cluster, pulling specific quotes and observations from the raw notes as evidence.
The findings document writes itself
Within an hour you have a structured findings document with clear themes, supporting evidence from the session, and identified tensions that need further exploration. You add your own interpretation, write the "so what" for each finding, and draft preliminary recommendations.
The document lives in the same folder as your raw notes. Six months from now, when the client asks you to run a follow-up workshop, you can open the folder and the agent can read both the original notes and the findings. Context that would otherwise live only in your memory becomes part of the project record.
What used to be a full day of post-workshop analysis becomes an afternoon of focused thinking. Not because the AI does the thinking for you, but because it handles the pattern-matching grunt work so you can focus on interpretation.
